Burned Milk Removal from Stainless Steel- Add about a cup of cold water while heating the scorched pan over a low flame. Start with a flat edged metal or wooden scraper or spatula to loosen the burned food as it heats. Add a few drops of dish washing liquid. The scalded milk should loosen in no time. Adding some salt to the water will remove the smell of the scorched milk from the pot. If the scorched milk is being uncooperative, turn off the heat and leave the pan to soak overnight.
