Seafood is any form of marine life regarded as food by humans. Edible sea plants, such as some seaweed and microalgae, are also seafood, and are widely eaten around the world. Major nutrients in seafood are, omega 3 fatty acids, anti oxidants, zinc iodine, selenium and vitamins A & D, but it also contains mercury, so it should be consumed in moderation.
